LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- ``E! Rack -n- Roll,'' E! Entertainment Television's highly successful celebrity pool tournament is back for 1999! An all-star lineup is set to appear at the event, hosted by the network to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles, on Wednesday, September 22 in Hollywood.
Among those expected to join hosts Lou Diamond Phillips, Molly Shannon (``Saturday Night Live''), Portia de Rossi (``Ally McBeal'') and Sean Hayes (``Will & Grace'') will be: Jay Mohr (``Action''); Rick Schroder (``NYPD Blue''); Alex Kingston (``ER''); Adam Goldberg (``Saving Private Ryan''); Bill Maher (``Politically Incorrect''); David Boreanaz (``Angel''); Catherine Bell (``JAG''); Dean Cain; Gena Lee Nolin (``Baywatch''); Richard Ruccolo (``Two Guys & A Girl''); Ali Landry; Seth Peterson (``Providence''); DL Hughley (``The Hughleys''); Elise Neal (``The Hughleys''); Donnie Wahlberg; Elisa Donovan; Patrick Warburton (``Seinfeld''); Vincent Young (``Beverly Hills 90210''); and Ryan Stiles (``Drew Carey Show''), among others.
``E! Rack -n- Roll'' is an exciting, young Hollywood event featuring celebrities and other guests competing in a billiards tournament benefiting the good works of AIDS Project Los Angeles. The event features a special live musical performance by ``Heart'' (Ann and Nancy Wilson) -- opening for the band will be singer Erin Hamilton -- and the give-away of a Mitsubishi 2000 Eclipse, courtesy of event sponsor Mitsubishi.
``E! Rack -n- Roll'' is Wednesday, September 22, at 7:00 PM at the Circus Nightclub (6655 Santa Monica Blvd.) in Hollywood. Popular demand forced the move to this year's larger location.
Tickets are available to private individuals who wish to compete in the pool tournament on a celebrity team with an advance $150 donation. A limited number of tickets to attend the event are also available to the general public for $75 through APLA at (323) 933-1583 or via their website at www.apla.org.
All proceeds from this event to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles. Last year's premiere event generated $80,000 -- an amount expected to be exceeded at this month's event.
This event will also be taped for a televised one-hour special, ``E! Rack -n- Roll: Behind the Scenes,'' to premiere on Saturday, October 2, on E! Entertainment Television.
E! Online will host a series of live celebrity chats from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The chats will be available at http://www.eonline.com during the event, and will be archived for viewing beginning the next day.
AIDS Project Los Angeles provides direct services to over 7,000 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County. Services include a food bank, a dental clinic, housing assistance, transportation, adult and child Buddy Programs and mental health counseling. APLA also offers treatment and prevention education and advocates on local, state and federal levels on AIDS-related legislation. All services are provided in Spanish and English.
