ATLANTA, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- To celebrate the last weekend of summer, Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL - news) will treat passengers on selected flights to ice cream bars over the Labor Day break.
``We want to give passengers a break from the heat and have a little fun,'' said Vicky Stennes, managing director, in-flight customer service.
Delta plans to offer special snacks and surprise menu items periodically throughout the year to make in-flight meals more enjoyable. ``We're always looking for great new ways to surprise and delight our customers,'' Stennes said.
From September 4th through the 6th, Delta will be serving Dove Bars(TM) and Snickers Ice Cream Bars(TM) to passengers on 31 flights per day traveling from Cincinnati and Atlanta to Florida.

More than 105 million passengers traveled on Delta in 1998.
