Overview BlackBook is a simple address book written using the GTK+ toolkit. It has been tested in Linux and FreeBSD, but should run on any system where the GTK+ toolkit works. It is distributed (as most good software on earth) under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later.
Requirements You must have a C++ compiler, libtool and the GTK+ toolkit installed. Libtool is a GNU tool and may be downloaded from any of its mirrors, which are plenty.
Motivation 1: I needed an Address Book 2: I had some trouble getting the C++ binding for GTK+, GTK--, to compile on my machine, and decided to start a simple C++ binding from scratch, which I called GLOW (Gimp Library of Objects and Widgets), a initial version of which is included in BlackBook's source distribution. BlackBook started as a test case for my library (which is far from completeness).
