Hi there. This is the file of Gerard Paul R. Java, of Mosaic Communications, Cebu. I haven't been unable to update this thing in quite a while, but hey... what the heck.
For starters, this fellow is a Computer Science graduate of USC, working at MosCom Cebu as system administrator, keeping an eye on the Network Operations Center, and trainer of the new fellows.
Personally, his interests lie in the technological area. He prefers to dabble in computer programming, Internet access, tinkering with the Linux boxes to see what new miracle they can do, and, if he feels like relaxing, writes software, produces discussion slides, watches or reads Star Trek, therefore making him a hard-core Trekkie (see my local Star Trek page. Note: this is not a commercial endorsement. This is merely an expression of a personal interest. So there), and, to keep his spiritual side healthy, listens to some good Christian music. No, not that chanting, organ-only type. I mean that new modern, great-sounding, contemporary, Integrity Music type.
He is an advocate of open-source software, pushes Linux and wants to see them grow and catch on in the Philippines.
So what am I after? Well, first, I would like to know peopl with similar interests. An exchange of ideas is always a swell thing. Any local Trekkies out there? Linux lovers? I'd sure like to know.
I will be placing updates of relevance here. Please come back and check it out. There might be an annoucement, or some new and hot program that I like and you might like too...I'll try to make this page contain useful or at least enjoyable info.
Page still (eternally)
under construction.
