ChatClient Applet

Live chats can be accessed using the ChatClient applet. The JDC staff hosts Office Hours, Java^TM Live, and Meet the Author forums; or JDC members may start their own Chats.

To use the ChatClient applet,

Enter your name
If you're behind a firewall, select the "Use HTTP" button
select Connect to Forums
select a chat forum, or create a new forum
you can read more about using the ChatClient interface here
select disconnect to leave the ChatClient
