There really are only two "WYSIWYG" or visual layout HTML editors that I can in good conscience recommend: GoLive from Adobe (www.adobe.com) and Macromedia's (www.macromedia.com) Dreamweaver. Both of these programs let you edit web pages visually and both have tools that let work with more advanced stuff like JavaScript and Style Sheets. I use a Mac for my design and currently GoLive doesn't have a version for the PC (although they are working on one as we speak). GoLive is a fabulous program that has for a long time been the best editor (assuming you were a Mac user), but the latest version of Dreamweaver has really caught up to GoLive and even flat out copied some of the features that I like the most. I still like GoLive the best, but either way you really can't lose. I cannot recommend PageMill. It really is a poor excuse for an HTML editor and I have only had problems with using it. Granted, it's cheaper than either of the other programs I mentioned, but you really get what you pay for. If you plan on doing alot of web page work, invest a a good program.
