On Monday, Intel did another round of minor price cutting as follows:

Intel is stabbing another blow at AMD, trying to price its Celeron close to AMD K6-2 parts. I've started hearing a bunch of things about the K7 preview, and there is so much hype it is unbelievable.

Check out the following sites on a daily basis:

If the recent rumors are to be believed, the K7 is still scheduled to ship in volume at 600 MHz for June release. Also, AMD is claiming that it can boost up the speed significantly higher using the current .25 micron process. As well, the first "benchmark" results show the 550 MHz K7 smacking the Pentium III 550 at various tasks, and the 600 MHz version crushing it by up to 50% for some fully 3DNow vs. SSE optimized 3D.

Anyway, check those sites. The news is fast and furious, and it will only get more so in the next month.
