Wow, we finally have content here! I've thrown together two OpenGLX vis plugins for XMMS (the coolest mp3 player ever coded).

NOTE:Both these plugins were developed with and for nvidia hardware (TNT1/TNT2/GF). While rainbow runs well with most other cards (3dfx, G200 included) and with Mesa software rendering, nurbies might crash on anything except NV hardware. Your results may vary, some assembly required, batteries not included.

Update: The uber-cool George Kyriazis at NVIDIA contacted me recently to inform me about a few minor bugs in the 1.1 releases of nurbies and rainbow. Apparently they were annoying enough to have someone on the OpenGL team (and NVIDIA's clock!) fix them for me. Cool, I like this system. The new 1.2 versions should be more stable with other cards, and I suggest everyone upgrade immediately. They should also be compliant with the new XF4.0 drivers those NV boys have been working so hard on. Oh yeah, go buy NVIDIA stuff, for it rocks. They are basically a year ahead of everyone else...

Since GLX renders directly to video memory GIMP can't take screenshots of these guys in action. So I did the next best thing and just quickcam'd them running on my dual celeron+TNT box. Here are the shots:

Trust me, they look considerably better than the pictures suggest.

If you like these things, great. And if you don't like them, rm -rf / will remove them from your system. I'm a EE goddamnit. This stuff is just a side hobby :)

I've also hacked together a Wirz SLI driver for LCDProc. You can get my crappy hacked together version here but I really suggest you just download the latest version from the official page, since my driver is now integrated with the main source.

I also posted some linux code from my senior year highschool independent study.
