CAll For Experts (CAFE)

Once a JSR has been approved as per Section 2 of the JCP, a CAll For Experts (CAFE) will be issued as described in Section 3 of the JCP.

CAFEs are currently open for the following approved JSRs. Those Participants who have signed a JSPA and wish to nominate an Expert to serve on one or more of these Expert Groups can submit their nomination(s) as follows:

Participants who wish to nominate an expert to serve on an Expert Group shall:

1. Download the CAFE HTML Template,
2. Fill in the template using a text or HTML editor (don't forget to tell us which CAFE you are responding to), and then
3. Submit the completed template via e-mail to cafe-nomination@sun.com before the close of the CAFE Nomination period.

All information that you provide to Sun with regard to your CAFE nomination will be used for the selection of Experts and a Specification Lead under the terms of the Java Community Process. Information in your CAFE nomination will be shared with the Specification Lead, who may be external to Sun, but only to enable the Specification Lead to interview and select candidates to serve on the Expert Group. It will also be accessible to the auditors for the Java Community Process, but will be held in confidence by them and will not be revealed in any public document without your explicit written permission.
