The Java Advanced Imaging API extends the Java platform for developing image processing applications and applets in Java. It streamlines the process of creating powerful imaging software solutions. The Java Advanced Imaging API 1.0 Specification was developed by Sun Microsystems, Inc., Autometric, Inc., Eastman Kodak, Inc., and Siemens Corporate Research, Inc. Java Advanced Imaging 1.0.2 Implementation Java Advanced Imaging 1.0.2 implementation is Now Available. Key improvements include better Tile-Caching and enhanced support for binary data.
The Java Advanced Imaging Team has submitted to Sun Microsystems a Java Specification Request (JSR) describing the proposed contents of the 1.1 specification. This JSR will be open for comments from the general public.
