Java Security Feedback

Java Security | Java Security Feedback Archives | JCE | JAAS | JSSE |

The java-security@sun.com alias provides a feedback mechanism for the Standard Edition of the Java Platform, including the JCE, JAAS, and the JSSE optional packages.

Feedback, comments, and questions submitted to the alias will be monitored and answered by the J2SE security development team members. This is not a general support mechanism, and we can not guarantee a response to each submission. This alias is a one-way communication mechanism and does not accept subscription requests. However, most postings become publicly available via the java-security archive.

Before posting, please read the related documentation:

and search the archives: to see if your question has already been answered. In many cases, you may find your answer already available.

Due to resource constraints, only postings in English can be considered at this time.

For an excellent introduction to Java 2 security, we recommend that you start with Li Gong's excellent book, "Inside Java 2 Platform Security: Architecture, API Design, and Implementation" from Addison-Wesley, ISBN: 0201310007. It covers many of the design decisions and architectural issues that would interest users of Java Security.

Submit feedback to java-security@sun.com.
