Overview
Linuxcare Labs - the first independent Linux testing authority

Linuxcare Labs is the first independent testing authority to inaugurate a comprehensive program for certifying hardware and software for use with the Linux operating system. Operated by Linux authority Linuxcare, Inc. Linuxcare Labs offers a vendor-neutral testing methodology that embraces open standards and prevents platform fragmentation. Most importantly, certification by Linuxcare Labs gives Linux users the assurance that the systems and components they purchase are fully supported under the major Linux distribution.

At launch, Linuxcare Labs has completed testing for successfully certified hardware products from Dell Computer, Compaq Computer, and PFU (Panasonic-Fujitsu-Uchida). Visit the Certified Products page for more information on participating vendors and their products, or use the navigation bar on the left it to proceed directly to individual test reports.

Successful testing by Linuxcare Labs certifies that all components of the tested product exhibit full functionality under the Linux kernel. Once certified, tested products earn the Linuxcare Labs certification mark. This mark ensures that the product will be "Linux-ready" after software installation is complete.
