This project started during summer 1999.
The main idea was to turn some good-old PCs into dedicated MP3 (and other format)
players. Some month later Vinz began to work on the software solution while he was
abroad (Hello swiss people !!). He wrote an entire application in perl to do the job.
To be a dedicated MP3 player, you mustn't need an external display, nor a keyboard.
Don't worry, a console mode is also here. So.... here we go
It's very easy, we are only two :)
The basic idea of LiMpOo is to put together some nice piece of sofware. To do this job, vinz chose
perl because it is easy to use, very powerful when coming to text manipulation and excellent
for integration with other tools.

Except xaudio package, the licence does not permit us to put on the ftp, so you must go to xaudio web pages to download it. In order to compile MPEG-MP3Play you must take the sdk too. The version we have been tested are : xasdk-3.0.1.x86-unknown-linux-glibc.tar.gz and xaudio.x86-1.05.unknown-linux-glibc.tar.gz.
