Pre-release: 4/22/99 - 808 Images

This is the pre-808 release of the LIMP Project. All created versions are included on this page. Versions are seperated by the "repeat" threshold configured in the montage program. This value can be set to "un-limited repeat," "limited repeat," and "never repeat," which is the target format of LIMP. These images are not to be redistributed as they are not the final product. LIMP grants no usage rights other than for personal viewing and printing. Yes, this is for your own good!

Comments:

The first major change you should notice is that we changed the base-image from Larry Ewing's original GIMP authored version to my vector version (you can grab it from the downloads page). I think it looks better, do you?

The injection of the Linux Journal images really helped speed up this release, which is very good as there is a lot of stuff brewing here in LIMP-land: we are lining up the printing presses; shipping out tons of pre-release posters to campuses around the globe; now all we need is RedHat and more (about 800 more!) of your images!
