Best of Technical Support Request Form

Over the past five years, Linux Journal has reached the point where it is considered the authoritative printed resource on current Linux development and use. As the magazine grew, several readers asked for an opportunity to have their short, specific questions -- especially ones regarding installing and setting up a Linux system -- answered. Others expressed a desire for better, more specific information on using the various Linux distributions, and for help in solving problems encountered after installation.

To address those needs, we began featuring a "Best of Technical Support" column in question-and-answer format. We print both "generic" Linux questions and vendor-specific ones. Both types of questions are answered by a team of Linux gurus we assembled, which includes experts on the support staffs of Linux vendors. Distribution-specific questions are noted as such.

If you are a Linux expert and would like to get involved in this project, please send an e-mail to Ellen Dahl.

Consider this a chance to learn more about the features and quirks of the various distributions, as well as a great learning tool for less-experienced Linux users.

If you would like to submit a question to the BTS team, you may use the convenient form provided below. Please note that due to the volume of responses, we are not able to publish all questions.

You may either fill out the form, or send e-mail to bts@ssc.com with "BTS" in the subject line.

Thanks for taking part.
