Create a Tiled Background in PhotoDraw 2000 Version 2
A tiled background, or wallpaper, is composed of a single image that is
repeated across your Web page. You can use any PhotoDraw™ 2000
version 2 picture for a
tiled background, but non-rectangular pictures tend to work best. Aim to
make your
background enhance your Web page without diminishing its readability.
Create a tiled background
for a Web page
- On the File menu, click Visual Open, and then locate
the picture you want to use.
In the example above, we choose Rs0223.mix from Pfiles\Msoffice\Pdremdat\Content\PhotoDraw
Clipart\Designer Clip Art\Business & Industry. To gain access to
this photo, you need to insert PhotoDraw CD 2.
- On the Fill menu, click Theme Texture.
- In the Fill workpane, select a texture that matches the theme
of the web you created in Microsoft FrontPage®. If you don't
currently have a FrontPage-based web that uses a theme, select a
texture that you like from the gallery.
- On the Effects menu, click Transparency.
- In the Transparency workpane, move the slider to 85%. This
washes out the colors so that it's easy to read text that appears on
top of the picture.
- On the Save Send menu, click Save For Use In.
- In the Save for Use In Wizard, click As a background in Microsoft
PowerPoint, FrontPage or Word, and then click Next.
- Click Microsoft FrontPage, and then click Send it to the selected
program. Click Next.
- Click Tile the picture across the background, and then change
the Scale setting to 25% to tile each image at a quarter
of its original size. Click Save.
Microsoft FrontPage 2000 opens a new page that
uses your tiled background. When you save the page, FrontPage prompts you
to save your background. If you don't have FrontPage 2000 installed,
choose Microsoft FrontPage and Save it as a file in step 8.
You can then follow the steps in the wizard to save your tiled background,
and place it on a Web page later.
