David Reid did it again! He ported, as part of a BeUnited project, PostgreSQL 7.0, the well-known and powerful database. The patches he submitted a long time ago were (finally) accepted and he has since brought the port up-to-date. This means if you have a beta copy of the new BeOS Networking Environment (BONE) you can now build a client/server PostgreSQL 7 database. The code needs some serious testing yet as there are bound to be some bugs that haven't been found yet, but it all seems to work quite well. The port has been completed with the help of Cyril Velter and Adam Haberlach from Be, Inc.
