Beginning MySQL Tutorial One of the fastest SQL (Structured Query Language) database servers currently on the market is the MySQL server, developed by T.c.X. DataKonsultAB. MySQL, available for download at http://www.mysql.com, offers the data base programmer with an array of options and capabilities rarely seen in other database servers. What's more, MySQL is free of charge for those wishing to use it for private and commercial use.

WHAT ARTICLE??? I'm a newbie, and I've got to create a MySQL database that'll function as the mail list database for a website. People will fill out a form on the html page and after filling out the required fields, they'll receive a download file, and their info will go to a MySQL database table. I have NO clue as to how to do this, but I DO know about creating spreadsheets and I recall using mailmerge with it's comma seperated value fields etc. for mail lists. I'm projecting that, that basis of understanding can be extrapolated to understand how to do this in MySQL, yes?
What's a good tutorial or beginners primer that can get me far enough to undersand how to set up this table and then what to code onto my html that'll have this function the way I want?
