I am still trying to get a bug worked out on my connection string, but I did happen to come across this:
Running from the same server it should be irrelevant, however.
You can setup default connection strings at the server via a file called php3.ini then just invoke the functions from the script passing no arguments, they will default to the php3.ini. I can't wait to try it myself =)
