posted: 2/21/99 QUESTION Here's my system:
I own a home-brew Pentium II 350 PC100 computer with 128 MB PC100 RAM. I'm not getting enough performance out of my video card. Will an AGP Riva TNT with 16 MB give me more performance for my money? I cannot afford twin 3DFx cards in SLI Mode. --Alberto Lugo ANSWER The TNT card will give you excellent performance for about US$140 or less. Depending on which model you buy, you may or may not have all the TV tuner features that the SIS 6326 is capable of providing. However, if you don't use those and use your TV capture card instead, then you're okay! Don't worry about dual Voodoo2 cards. The TNT card gives them a run for the money, is cheaper, and takes up fewer slots. TNT also has excellent 2D performance. I'd recommend getting a bigger monitor. You can get a decent 17" for $200 nowadays!
