You give the network class and subnet bits and you get back the maximum number of subnets, maximum number of hosts per subnet, a bimap showing the breakdown of network bits, subnet bits, and host bits, the decimal and hexadecimal class netmask, the decimal and hexadecimal subnet mask, and more.

Notes
  1. I have a Win32 version. I've been running it a work for a while. Anyway, if anyone out there is interested, I'll create a package and put it up here. So e-mail me if you're interested!
  2. The binary and RPM releases were created on Linux 2.2.12, with glibc 2.1
  3. The prips source is needed to compile IPSC
  4. To run gipsc (the gtk+ version of ipsc) you will need gtk+, version 1.2 or greater. GNOME support is planned in the very near future.

prips - prints IP addresses in a given range

prips can be used to enhance the functionality of programs that operate on only one IP address at a time. For details, please see the README
