First Public Release of New Specifications
After completion of Public Review as per
Section 7 of the JCP,
the Specification moves to First Public Release as described in
Section 8. These
Specifications are awaiting completion of the associated
Reference Implementation (RI) and
Compatibility Test Suite (CTS). A Specification in First Public
Release may be changed or updated by the Expert Group
as a result of experience gained during the writing of the RI and/or the CTS.
