We welcome your comments on the Linux Documentation Project (LDP);
but remember that we are a volunteer organization with limited
resources so we can't do everything. Feedback will be sent to a
mailing list that is only for discussion of LDP issues, so please
don't ask technical or general questions about Linux.
We again wish to stress that these lists are for the discussion of issues
related to the LDP; including
such topics as: the creation, maintenance, and translation
of documents (HOWTOs, FAQs, Guides, etc.); ideas for new documents;
issues involving the LDP web site; issues involving SGML processing
tools; etc.
For questions of a general Linux nature, may we suggest:
If you are clear on this policy, we welcome and appreciate your feedback.
There are a few mailing lists you may wish to subscribe to, in order to be involved and stay informed about the work being done by the LDP. ldp-discuss@lists.linuxdoc.org, is the main discussion group of the LDP. To subscribe, send a message with the subject reading "subscribe" to ldp-discuss-request@lists.linuxdoc.org. To unsubscribe, send an e-mail with the subject of "unsubscribe" to ldp-discuss-request@lists.linuxdoc.org. Other lists include ldp-announce@lists.linuxdoc.org (note: ldp-announce is not a discussion-oriented list; it is used solely to announce documents that have been recently published/updated on the LDP site) and ldp-docbook@lists.linuxdoc.org. The procedure to subscribe (and unsubscribe) is analagous to what was stated previously. You can subscribe using these links: ldp-announce-request@lists.linuxdoc.org and ldp-docbook-request@lists.linuxdoc.org.
Before submitting a document, please consult the Document Distribution section of the LDP Author Guide (formerly referred to as the "HOWTO-HOWTO").
