"Linuxcare's support encourages us to go full speed ahead with
buying more Linux systems." - Jad DeFanti, Senior System Administrator, Alexa Internet
Hourly Support Purchased Over the Web
Linux end users needing help for a particular problem can easily purchase Linuxcare support in one-hour increments. After purchasing your support hours, simply send us an email message detailing your problem. We'll acknowledge the request within four hours of receipt and get to work. Upon purchase of your Linuxcare support hours, you will have up to 30 days to use them.
Bundled-Hour Support
Some Linux users want the peace of mind provided by an ongoing technology support contract, but are unsure as to how much support they actually need.
For these customers, Linuxcare offers bundled-hour technical support in 10-, 25-, 50- and 100-hour packages. Under a bundled-hour support contract, you
may contact Linuxcare with your problem via either phone or email. As with the hourly support option, you will receive problem resolution or a request for more information within one calendar day. This contract lasts for one year from the purchase date.
Service Level Agreements
For large companies that have widely deployed Linux and open-source technology, Linuxcare Service Level Agreements provide the most comprehensive and convenient technical support solutions. Platinum and Gold levels of support are available, as well as customized options.
Each Service Level Agreement includes unlimited
hours of phone and email support. Platinum level organizations receive same business-day resolution for "Priority 1" incidents, while Gold levels receive resolution within one business day. What's more, at the Platinum level, your organization is entitled to four authorized customer contacts and detailed online incident status reports; if you opt for the Gold level, you get two contacts and summary status reports. All Service Level Agreement contracts are valid for one year.
Frontline and Backline Support
For OEM and ISV customers, Linuxcare offers front-line and backline support options. Our technical support engineers can supplement your support
team, answering the phone and responding to email under your company name while maintaining quality service for your customers. On the back end, we can
provide your engineers and developers with the answers to their stickiest Linux questions.
