Subject: Linux bucks

Here's a hard question for the Linux Evangalist

I am a Linux developer - why should I work hard producing free software while people like Redhat, Caldera etc can potentially make huge bucks "selling" my software. Sure I'm interested in programming and enjoy doing novel things... but there are a lot of mundane tasks that I don't fancy doing... things that are essential to maintaining a complex OS...

Any answers ? Or shall we admire another screenshot :-)

A valid argument...perhaps the fact that its open source, should encourage you to develope new and WORKING programs, unlike M$boss, I'm a real diehard with puters in general, and the blue screen of death is an all too often occurance. Dont give up, the penguin can rule the wave if M$ continues on its present course. Maybe some wizkid can present to Redbat and Golmera and alternative approach to the ongoing battle to dominate the penguin. Its bound to happen sooner or later, its a capitalist society afterall. Little bucks for the developers of programs geared for Linux can prove to be better than nothing...the brat has been the king for too long. Time to crumble the monopoly!
