I'll never forget my management stating they wouldn't use Linux because there was no one to sue. I think this story tosses that argument out the window. "In a 7-2 decision yesterday, the court rejected a construction firm's claim that a software maker should be liable for $1.95 million in losses the company says were caused by a bad computer program. The court said the agreement enclosed in the packaging protected the software firm from liability, even if the construction company never read it."
