| NetBeans Developer is an object oriented, visual programming
environment for Java - written in Java. Developer comes with an
integrated full-featured text editor, debugger, compiler, pluggable
Look & Feel, a powerful Form Editor with support for advanced Layout
Managers, multiple virtual desktops, components from the KLGroup,
and much more.
Based entirely on JavaBeans components and Swing, NetBeans is easily
customizable and extensible. Developer combines support for all
stages of application development including visual GUI design,
editing, compilation, and debugging.
As it is written entirely in Java, Developer is platform independent
- develop your Java applications on any platform with a 1.1 JVM.
Developer 2.1 supports JDK 1.1 and Swing 1.1; Developer 2.0.1,
available from the NetBeans website, supports JDK 1.1 and Swing 1.0.3,
while DeveloperX2 is the Java 2 release of NetBeans Developer. See
