StoreFront Administration

The StoreFront web store is administered through StoreFront tools which plug-in to your FrontPage tool bar.  The Store Administration button will open the tab interface used to set up your StoreFront web store.   

Application Tab

The first tab of the Store Administration utility deals with setting the Domain Root Path, the Application Path and the SSL Path for your StoreFront Web.  In this tab the merchant also has the option to choose to keep customer data on the server  which will reload the shoppers name and address data for returning shoppers. You may also create links which will retrieve shoppers previous orders. 

Mail Setup Tab

The StoreFront Mail Setup is used to configure the mail services which are used in sending order notifications to the merchant and order confirmations to the customer. StoreFront has built-in merchant order e-mail notification and customer order e-mail confirmation.  Here the merchant can choose the e-mail service that is supported by your  web host service provider . 

Tax Rate Tab

StoreFront allows the merchant to assign to each country and state or province a specific tax rate. Once tax rates are set, all orders shipped to a country or state that has had a tax applied will have the amount of that tax added to the total cost of the order.

Transactions Tab

StoreFront has built-in support for several real-time, on-line, transaction processing services including CyberCash, AuthorizeNet, PaymentNet and PC Authorize.  In order to use a transaction service a merchant credit card account and an account with the selected processor is required in order to use real-time transaction processing services. Note: The StoreFront software is configured to automatically interface with each of these processor's normal transaction processing service software.  StoreFront does not contain any payment processing software nor does StoreFront provide any payment processing service 

The Geographical Tab

The Geographical tab provides access to control the geographical regions that are supported by the web store. Here the merchant is allowed to select which states and countries will appear as available locations in the order process. The locations selected will then appear in the tax interface and may be assigned a tax rate if desired. There is also a provision for adding new Countries and States to this list.

Shipping Rates Tab

StoreFront 2000 supports three methods for determining shipping costs.  These are value-based shipping, product-based shipping, and real-time UPS based shipping rates.  The UPS based rates queries UPS directly for real-time rate data which is then factored according to the factors indicated to arrive at a final shipping cost.

Fonts Tab

The Fonts tab allows you to set the font and color properties that are used on the StoreFront output pages that are displayed during a shopping session.

Tables Tab

The Tables tab allows for setting table design properties that are used in the same manner as the font design properties.  The merchant can create dynamically generated table attributes to give your store a professional, formatted appearance.
