What's your return policy?
All sales are final. Kind of :) If you are unsatisfied or if you've experienced damages, lost shipments or other discrepancies, please call us at 703-917-0080 or 1-888-GEEK-STUFF or send an email to orders@thinkgeek.com to arrange for the return/replacement of your item(s). We want you to be happy geeks, not sad or angry geeks.
Can I buy something without a credit card?
Yes, you can. Soon we will have an option integrated into our shopping cart which will
allow you to pay via check or money order. Can't wait? Just place items in your shopping
cart, proceed to checkout and fill out your billing/shipping information. You do
not have to enter a credit card to get to this view. Print out the page with your
order and the shipping rates and mail that to us with your check or money order. You can find our mailing address on our 'bugus' page.
How do I know if something is in stock?
Generally, we denote out-of-stock items within our catalog via a reference
next to the price; like --> (XXL on backorder). Of course it is
entirely possible that an item will become unavailable between the time you
are
ordering it and when it is shipped. We will let you know if that is the
case and will probably ship the portion of your order that is currently in
stock. It doesn't take us that long to re-stock on the majority of our
items (5-10 days).
Don't you have some generic shipping information?
We won't charge your credit card until your order is shipped. If the items
you order are in stock, your order will normally be shipped within 24 hours
of when you placed your order. If there's a major delay, we'll let you know.
If any items are backordered, we'll contact you to work out shipping
arrangements. Generally, all items on backorder are marked as such within our
catalog.
The majority of domestic orders will be shipped via UPS Ground service. Overnight shipping is also available (domestically) for an extra charge (no P.O. Boxes for overnight). If your order is shipped using UPS, you will receive a confirmation email which includes a tracking number.
We offer shipping outside of the US. Orders can be sent via Surface mail or Air Mail (more expensive). Please note that cases of beverages can't be shipped overnight or outside the U.S. They're just too darn heavy!
How much is shipping?
It depends on what you are ordering, how much you are ordering, and where
it is shipping. You can determine the cost of shipping your order by
creating a shopping cart and proceeding to checkout. You will need to
fill out your shipping address in order to view the shipping amount. You
do not have to purchase the items in your shopping cart in order to view
the shipping amount.
What's the scoop about overnight shipping?
We have overnight shipping options available for domestic orders. The catch
is that you have to place
your order before 1pm Monday-Thursday to receive actual overnight
delivery. Overnight delivery
orders received after 1pm or on Saturday/Sunday will ship the next
business day and should arrive
one day after.
How often do you ship?
We'll
ship your order within 24-36 hours if it's in stock and it's not Sunday
or a holiday.
Do you ship overseas?
Absolutely. After placing items in your shopping cart, proceed to the
checkout area. At the top of the profile page is an option to switch to
non-U.S. shipping addresses.
Can you ship to P.O. Boxes?
If you select standard shipping (in which case we use the U.S. Postal
Service) - we CAN ship to P.O. Boxes. If you choose overnight
delivery (in which case we use UPS) - we CANNOT ship to P.O. Boxes.
Can you ship cases of caffeine outside the U.S.?
Our shopping cart won't let you because it is very expensive to ship a case
of anything overseas. From our office in McLean, Virginia, it costs about
$50 U.S. to ship an $18.95 case of Jolt to Israel via surface mail. If you
don't mind spending
that kind of money on shipping, of course we will accommodate you. Drop a note
to Scott to get the rub on
shipping some caffeine to your particular country.
I have a great idea for a shirt/product. Will you make it?
It's stupid to ignore great ideas, of course we'll listen. Talk to Willie.
I want to purchase a bulk order. What are my options?
We manufacture most of our products ourselves and can offer re-resellers or
other organizations
quantity discounts. Drop a note to us @ bulk@thinkgeek.com and
let us know what you are interested in.
Why don't you have more stuff?
We actually have many, many ideas for expanding our inventory. You will
probably find a new product every week or so. We'll have some mp3, X,
vi/emacs, C/C++, kernel hacking, coding, perl, hardware, BSD, gaming, and
more Linux stuff rolling out so check back often. Yes, we'll have
sweatshirts too. And no, we haven't forgotten about license plate
holders.
Why don't you have more color options for your t-shirts?
The number of shirt colors per design is directly proportional to the
number of total dollars spent on inventory and is inversely proportional
to the total number of designs available. Be patient. We'll add more
shirt colors. Promise.
What about XXXL+ sizes? Do you carry them?
In a word... sorta. 3XL and larger sizes are hard to come by, especially in
colors other than
black and white. For now, we have 3XL in a few of the styles, but
we can't guarantee that we'll carry them all the time in all the styles.
We're definitely keeping our eyes open for those sizes in other colors
and for reasonable prices, so keep checking back and we'll update the size
selections for the different styles when we can.
Why do you sell alcohol vessels?
Uh. Geeks drink too.
Why are so many of your shirts understated?
They are not understated. They are efficient.
