All the important changes from 1.5.2 to 1.5.6:
- First BeBits update in nearly three years. w00t.
- As you may have noticed, maintainership has changed hands.
- First, some old bugs, all brought to me by NathanW (via BeShare):
- Parts of the "Get Info" window were created in the wrong order, causing display errors on Dano and its ilk.
- A fencepost error in the HTML parsing code made the formatting go screwy.
- The networking threads have been fixed to syncronise properly during logon.
- Semi-real rate limiting, for the internal components. It's still possible for you to exceed the limit and get that nice message from the server.
- Server-stored buddy lists!
- Changed authentication mechanisms to the newer, MD5-based one. Otherwise, we can't support new features...
- @mac.com screen name support. Both as a user and on the buddy list.
- Typing notification. Will be made optional later.
- Turkish and Italian translations added.
- Information bubbles fixed for Dano and up.
There are many things planned for upcoming releases. Most of them are features, unless I get bug reports. I'm planning for a sort of weekend-long code-a-thon, because my ideas seem to come all at once.

A relatively minor update... not as exciting as the recent "Guess the Number" craze, I grant you, and it has no CyberPsychic(tm) technology... but it might be worth a download anyway.
- Now works on the latest version of BONE (thanks to Peter Folk)
- Shiny new German language file (thanks to Daniel Warmuth)
- A few really, really minor bug fixes (thanks to... um, me, I guess)

All the stuff BeAIM 1.5 had, plus...
+ Fixed the really stupid "backwards /me" bug
+ Fixed a UI problem with the French translation in the Buddy List Editor
+ Now installs into /boot/apps instead of /boot/beos/apps (whoops!)
+ Added "How to translate BeAIM" file
Once again, source will come at a later date, as soon as I have the time to package it up.

Quite a lot has changed in BeAIM 1.5! Virtually every part of the code has been reworked, and the end result is *much* nicer than the previous version. Here's a short list of what's new:
+ Many, many, many, many bugfixes
+ New graphics and sounds that are AOL-free
+ Drag-and-drop buddy list reordering (in the Buddy List Editor)
+ Much more stable
+ Can be translated into any language (comes with English and French)
+ A bunch of user interface improvements
+ And a whole lot more!
Source code will be available as soon as I can get it all packaged up, etc...

No, before you ask, file transfer and group chat aren't supported yet. However, I plan to add them in a future release (keep in mind that there is only one developer on the project... :-) Many more features are also coming soon. Go to the web page for more info and updates.
