The Linux® Documentation Project (LDP) is a loose team of volunteers who work together to coordinate both printed and online Linux documentation. All documents under the project, ranging from online pages to printed manuals, are freely available under the General Public License (GPL) and are therefore easily and frequently updated to keep pace with ever-changing Linux technology. This coordination also adds efficiency to the documentation process as it cuts down on duplicate Linux information and materials.
