timewarp fools a program into thinking that thecurrent time is something other than it really is.This allowsyou tocontinue running binary software that has'expired' withouthaving to reset the time of the entire system. (Aprogramhas 'expired' when it has a logical 'time bomb'thatprevents use of the program after a certain date,like'rvplayer' from Real Networks.)

It is implementedas aloadable kernel module and it affects the time onaper-program basis. That is, it only affectscertainuser-specified programs.
