| Packet Storm will only use Cookies in the forums if you have cookies turned on. The cookie Packet Storm gives a user is a small file that is stored on their computer containing information needed to keep them logged into the forums. This enables a user to visit elsewhere on the site and then being able to come back to the forums remaining logged in. If they have cookies disabled, they will just be required to relogin to the forums every time they go back after viewing some other part of the site. This is the only time they will ever be asked to take a cookie from our site. A lot of users are weary of using cookies, as well they should be. |

| Packet Storm strongly supports full disclosure on items we add to the site. With our position in the computer security community, we are obligated to release pertinent information in a timely fashion to raise awareness. A lot of files that are added to our archives are the personal work of individuals who contribute to the site. Because of this, we respect their writings and we do not censor or edit anything added to the site. We do add many files that are perceived by some as detrimental to the internet as a whole, however, we feel that in order to make people aware of a problem that needs to be remedied, they first must understand what the problem is; thus, full disclosure. |
