QtVu

Status The current version of QtVu is 0.3.21 beta2 As the version number indicates, QtVu is far from finished. It's buggy, but I do think it's usable. The current source code will be discontinued, a new and better designed version of QtVu will be available at a later time. If you have any cool ideas for this program, want to rate it or just want to help you can check the developer homepage. A discussion forum and a mailing list should be available there any time soon. 7. Dec. 1999 QtVu 0.3.21 beta2 is released, features are: Graphical installer included. 3. Dec. 1999 QtVu 0.3.21 beta is released, features and bugfixes are: Now uses Qt 2.00. You can now use a faster directory listing, this just checks the extension. Can view images in full screen(experimental) New configuration directory called ~/.QtVu/ Hotlist is stored in config. dir. Icons are stored there too. Some new icons has been supplied. It remembers most of your state when you quit it, like window size, splitter sizes, which tabs is used etc.. Bmp pictures are displayed with a color. You can change between four styles supplied by Qt2.0, they are not saved. Added a log window which can be turned on and off. Drag'n'drop has been removed, it was buggy anyway. Supports wheel mouse when viewing pictures. Some bug fixes. The FAQ has also been updated. 1. Dec. 1999 New Homepage qtvu.sourceforge.net will be the new main homepage. 5. Jul. 1999 QtVu FAQ created The first version of the FAQ has been created. 12. Feb. 1999 New homepage. qtvu.netpedia.net will be the new main homepage. Sorry for the current mess and inconsitencies, broken URLs etc. This will soon be fixed. 8. Feb. 1999 QtVu 0.3.19 is released, features and bugfixes are: Pixmap icons are properly installed and hopefully found by the program. Rewritten the thumbnaillistviewer, though not complete finished. Added a tiny configuration file, ~/.qtvurc, as for now only the window size is saved. Better GUI handling ( Still needs some work though ). Added a README file with explanation for compiling, installing and usage. ( Yes a html version will come shortly ) 2. Feb. 1999 Jan Borsodi will now continue the development for QtVu. Send bug reports, suggestions etc. to him. General thoughts about QtVu, you're welcome to mail me, of course.

Compilation If you have the Qt Image IO extension already compiled on your system, compiling QtVu is simply a matter of typing: make If you don't have the Qt Image IO extension library, you must compile it yourself. On my machine using Qt 2.00, QtVu will then support BMP, GIF, JPEG, PBM, PBMRAW, PGM, PGMRAW, PNG, PPM, PPMRAW, XBM and XPM. HTML documentation of the source code can be generated with Doxygen.
