We believe the web is about information, necessitating clean, quick loading pages which can be read easily by everyone. While graphics add flavor, their excessive use frustrates readers by elongating download times and creating difficulties for the blind.
Five years of web design experience yields tricks to make our pages readable by any browser, ranging from the first text based Lynx readers to those which will utilize the emerging XML standard.
Many websites are generated using HTML authoring programs. Such software often doubles the length of documents and implement formatting through tables. These pages needlessly prolong download times and are unreadable by older browsers. We hand code our HTML to avoid these pitfalls and provide detailed control.
