New Grads

Bring us an innovative mind, ambition, and a passion for technology and you will enjoy success at Applied Materials. We're dedicated to hiring new graduates, supplying them with the best tools, and helping them uncover a world of possibilities. Our New College Graduate Training Programs combine interactive training and on-the-job experience, and they get you involved with Information Age technology right away. We currently offer these training programs and career opportunities for new grads.

New College Graduate Engineering Training Program (NCG Program)
This program will provide you with six months of real world experiences as you complete three projects in each of these functional areas: Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales & Service. Along with this broad-based project experience, you'll be exposed to classroom training and project presentations. We'll also organize activities and events where you can meet one another, share experiences, and gain more insight into the Applied Materials culture. By participating in this program, you can determine where you feel most comfortable within our organization and can begin making the most out of your education, skills and career aspirations.

Opportunities:
Graduate Trainee

Software Graduate Training Program (SGT Program)
Our new Software Graduate Training Program allows you to spend your first six months learning and gaining on-the-job experience while receiving classroom training focused on your personal and technical development. As a trainee, you will get a chance to design and develop software improvements with a development team, as well as perform field assignments to gain perspective on customer issues and product performance. Upon completion of the program, you will transition to a Software Engineering role within one of our product groups.

Our software is the nervous system of our wafer fabrication systems; it thinks, moves, controls, signals, and senses. By participating in this program, you can be part of the software innovations that have made Applied Materials a leader in multi-chamber platform technology.

Opportunities:
Software Engineer

New College Graduate - Finance Program
Our new Finance Development Program consists of two phases. Each program participant will begin with a period of intensive technical and finance related training. You will then move into a rotation program with assignments in various areas of finance over the next two years. Rotational experiences can include assignments in corporate, product groups, manufacturing and regions. Upon completion of the program, participants will be placed in assignments that match both company needs as well as their skills and preferences. International assignments are possible for those who meet applicable language requirements.

Opportunities:
Finance Associate
Senior Finance Associate
Finance Project Manager

New College Graduate - Manufacturing Program
Our New College Graduate - Manufacturing Program allows you to participate in specific project assignments designed to provide you with a broad understanding and functional knowledge of manufacturing processes and functions. You will be placed in one of three specific career paths (Production Engineering, Materials/Procurement and Logistics, or Production Management) for up to 18 months in duration. There are two phases in the program. Phase I is an orientation period providing general training and familiarization with company processes and policies. Phase II consists of approximately 16 months of project assignments designed to provide you with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes and functions. Then you'll have the opportunity to put your knowledge obtained through formal training classes to practical use. Upon successful completion of the Manufacturing Program training requirements and project assignments, you will be reclassified to a position within manufacturing.
