Numerical Linear Algebra Classes

The site contains public domain Java translations of many of the LINPACK BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subroutines) as well as the LINPACK Cholesky decomposition (dpofa, dposl, and dpodi), QR decomposition (dqrdc and dqrsl), singular value decomposition (dsvdc), and LU decomposition (dgefa, dgesl, and dgedi) routines. The translations were performed by a user of the routines rather than a developer. When routines by professional numerical analysts (such as the people who produce LAPACK) become available, they should be used.

This Applet is able to process symbolic and numeric simplifications of entered mathematical expressions. That includes symbolic differentiation, integration (standard integrals), the development of Taylor as well as Fourier series. The .class files and a programming interface include documentation are ready for download. Thus the interpreter can be easily integrated into other Java projects.
