function_exists

(PHP3 >= 3.0.7, PHP4 )

function_exists --  Falls die angegebene Funktion definiert ist, wird true zurück gegeben

Beschreibung:

int function_exists (string function_name)

Prüft die Liste der definierten Funktionen auf das Vorhanden sein der Funktion mit dem Namen function_name . Sofern vorhanden wird true, sonst false zurück gegeben.

Correction to the note below:
The bug is <B>fixed in PHP >=3.09</B>. It exists in 3.07. I don't know about 3.08.

In any case, these two annotations can be purged.

Is it possible to find out whereas a class is defined (I've tried with function_exists but it doesn't work -- php 3.0.12).

To do an arror handler, I would need a way to get the function name: function func() { if ($error) { handleError(get_function_name(); } }
I currently use __LINE__ and __FILE__ but it's not enough for me!

function_exists() doesnt work with ImagePng, ImageGif, ImageJpeg because all functions are defined even if compiled only with gif support.
