News Bit 2.5 is a bulk news posting program for the internet. It can take any number of messages and attachments broadcast them to multiple newsgroups, randomizing each message and hiding your identity - automatically and in one easy process.
News Bit 2.5 can run on virtually any computer with windows 95 and a dialup or connection to the internet.
In addition to normal text, you can also include any combination of images, sounds, video, web pages, or other common media types in your message.
You create a custom listing of newsgroups. News Bit 2.5 can search a news server for newsgroup names by keywords.
You can extract the e-mail addresses from the newsgroup list. News Bit 2.5 connects to a News Server and retrieves all of the e-mail addresses found in the list of newsgroup names. It then writes the e-mail addresses to a file. Now you have a list that targeted to a specific audience.
Runs entirely on the client computer - no software or special configuration is required on the server. No additional software required. Everything you need is included.
For newsgroup postings, News Bit 2.5 has a very powerful message randomizing feature that is equal to none. No message will look the same.
All Message-Id's are unique to each message posted to make you less visible.
Extremely powerful feature that finds public access news servers.
News Bit 2.5 contains several mailing list utilities that allow you add, subtract, split-up, eliminate duplicates, sort or get statistics about a list(s).
On a minimal 486 PC connected to a slow server via a 14.4k dialup connection, you can find over 7,500 e-mail addresses per hour and can post to over 1000 newsgroups per hour. You can post to as many as 33,000 newsgroups per session.
Attractive and easy to use interface and extensive on-line help. At any time during the program, you can press the F1 key and get context sensitive help.
Start/Stop/incremental processing. You can start/stop broadcasting sessions. This feature is invaluable if you're not running News Bit 2.5 on a stand alone PC, if you have an unreliable internet connection, if you're processing large lists that take a long time to broadcast, or if you simply want the convenience of incrementally processing lists.
Include and exclude lists. You can define lists of newsgroup names that will automatically be included or excluded from all of your broadcasts.
