Alarm++ for Windows is a well-done 32-bit app that lets
you set multiple alarms, each of which can be set to go
off at various intervals such as every day, every two
weeks, every month, once a year, or Tuesday and Friday
of every fourth week, complete with a configurable
snooze-type feature.
You can have alarms repeat until
a certain date, for a certain number of events, or
forever. Advanced date information may be specified
for an alarm, such as to set it to go off "X" days or
"X" workdays before the set time. Along with displaying
a rich text-formatted message, each alarm can run an
application, play a sound, open a folder, or go to a
Website. This lets you run programs unattended such
as doing late-night backups, printing, or faxing. You
can also set an alarm to send email messages at specific
times. This feature could be used to email a reminder to
someone while you're on vacation. Alarm++ for Windows
even supports automation; you can control it from C++,
Visual Basic, VBScript, and JScript. It has an attractive,
clean interface with toolbar and tabbed entry windows.
This evaluation version is fully functional but limits
the number of alarms you can create to three.
