Announcing the pre-1697 version of LIMP. This is the final pre-release version before we present the public with three final, "release candidates." These release candidates will include SCO's generous contribution of more than 2500 images taken at COMDEX 1999.
We would also like to mention that we are now using Juggle by Michael Troebs for all our generated images. Please give his web-page a visit to grab this great GPLed Java-based photo-montage creation software!
Finally, the FAQ and About pages have been updated, so give 'em a visit!

Thank You COMDEX participants and Thank You SCO. We are currently processing the 2500+ images taken from the show!
Please check back soon for the final LIMP montage image candidates!

Still cranking! We are still wading through the 1500 or so image to find the 3 most optimal collections of images. Bear with us!

We are pleased to announce the pre-1330 version of the LIMP. This puts us at just over 80% of final completion. Please submit your Linux logos to bring us on home!

Here is spin of the same 'ol database, but this time it has been made with free-software. Introducing Juggle, a fantastic Java application by Michael Troebs. Go see the LIMP output off of the pre-releases page here.
This is most likely the piece of software I am going to use to produce the LIMP poster, and each new pre-release. Speaking of which, we are close to making another cut. Keep 'em rolling in!

Released pre-1120 to the Pre-Releases page. This chalkes us up to 70% completion. Getting warmer to that coveted 100% mark, but it is becoming more and more obvious every day that I need to get started making some Linux montage software. Time to hack source.
Don't have a logo? Make one!

Take a look at an interview of me on 32BitsOnline.com. If you read on in the article, it mentions that we are looking for people to send pre-release posters to. This is still true, but we have narrowed our search a bit. If you are from MIT (that would not be the Michigan Institute of Technology), Harvard, Swansea, or Berkeley: LIMP needs your wallspace!
Contact me for info!

Added the pre-1014 release to the pre-releases page. We are getting closer and closer to completion everyday!
I added a new topic to the Voting Booth. It deals with the final output of the montage image. Please submit your feedback there! Thanks for all your hard work everybody!
Last, but not least: a big special thanks to Marc Merlin and his most excellent LinuxWorld photos! Take a look at the Statistics Page to see how he stacks up...not too shabby!

At 2:34am this morning, the pre-808 version of LIMP was cut. This marks us in at about 50% completion. Half-way!
We still need about 800 of your images (wouldn't it be nice if RedHat was one of 'em?)!
Also with this release is a brand-spanking new vector version of Tux! This image is to serve as the base for all future releases of LIMP. Please feel free to grab it (and use it in all of your Linux projects) here, and send us some feedback!

People from the Linux Journal wrote in to tell us we can use their logo and cover art within LIMP. Their contribution adds nearly 60 fresh images to our stock! Thanks LJ! Now all we need is RedHat!! Somebody go yell at them already...
The vooting booth is now ready for prime time! I have added the first few phrase suggestions to the ballot. If you have more, please mail me at linux@remotepoint.com!

We've added a Voting Engine to the LIMP site. The first poll asks the question, "Would you buy a printed version of this poster?"
Well, would you?
The booth is in its first test run, so don't cry if it crashes!
In other news, we have cleared 60k hits to the site and 20k to the main page. This makes me happy.

LIMP is looking for people on college campuses around the world to post a special pre-release version of the poster up near computing facilities to draw additional traffic to the site. Please contact me for more informatation!
We are still taking suggestions for the phrase to be printed on the final poster image. Again, contact linux@remotepoint.com.

Released the pre-486 snapshot of the LIMP. You can see how we have progressed by checking out some of the earlier releases.
What are we up to now? How about a voting booth to vote upon a phrase to be included on the final image! We are taking suggestions.

I was checking through the access logs today and noticed we got visited a few times from a "tide70.microsoft.com" Does this scare anybody else?
Yesturday's response from the Linux Weekly News was quite good. According to the statistics, we only need 20 or so more images before I can cut another pre-release! Keep 'em rolling in!

This site has been offcially re-launched. Enjoy the new look!
Please check everything, pages, spelling, grammar, boundaries (well, not too carefully there), color-schemes and send me some e-mail!
