SearchLight will submit primary search criteria to up to ten search engines, retrieve the web addresses, sort them, remove duplicates, and then go to each site verifying that they actually exist, and that they do indeed contain that for which you searched.
In addition, secondary search criteria can be performed 'live' on each of the returned sites, and exclusionary data can be imposed to throw out those sites that contain information you definitely do not want. SearchLight uses the same filter technology that is utilized in the children's web browser Surfin' Annette, another SpyCatcher product. Surfin' Annette would examine a web site's data in the background, and only allow the child to see what was acceptable according to a specific set of criteria. SearchLight applies that same technology by searching web sites "live" and matching up those that contain the requested information, and throwing unmatched sites off of the list. Searchlight can then compile a verified link list in HTML or Text format listing those links that truly meet your search requirement, and that actually exist. Search templates can be constructed and the results of any search can be saved. A unique feature of SearchLight is the ability to actually visit the web sites returned by the search engines, and query them directly for your information.
