midiplay 2.0

This is a collection of software that synthesises digital audio data from midi files and plays them using either NAS or Voxware; it can also dump them to disk. It's designed to be very efficient and works great on even the slowest machines. It can also play regular audio files from AIFF, WAV, VOC, or IFF files.

Instead of using only the memory available in wave table audio cards, it uses Linux Virtual Memory -- 20megs worth of digital samples including a stunning piano, guitar and harpsichord.

It also includes a Netscape plugin for midi/audio files, a software on-screen midi keyboard, a tone generator which can use any midi instrument, and various other utilities.
