SiteBooster allows the mixing, within an HTML
page, of information coming from both a
Web server and a CD-ROM, by using the LiveCache
technology of Netscape Navigator.
This allows updated information such as
prices, news and informational text to be drawn
from the Internet site, whilst the heavier
elements which change less often, such as images, sound,
video clips or animations, are provided by the CD-ROM,
thus reducing frustratingly long waiting
times for the user.
And your site remains totaly flexible,
because you can decide on the server side which
elements of the CD your site is using.
Users wishing to take advantage of this
mixture of information require no additional
software (unless of course Netscape Navigator).
