A FIRESAFE RAID subsystem offers a fault tolerant solution for the Sidewinder, SecureZone and NT firewalls of Secure Computing. Features include Adaptive Caching, multiple simultaneous RAID levels, Windows GUI Array Management utility, and a Wide Ultra-SCSI (SCSI-3) interface.

The FIRESAFE subsystem offers maximum protection against disk drive failure—the leading cause of server failure, keeping your firewall and network up and running.

The FIRESAFE subsystem is based on the award winning RAIDION Systems Ultra-SCSI hardware RAID controller, a proven technology with thousands of installations worldwide.

Easy Installation
FIRESAFE comes out of the box completely configured for RAID level 1and ready to plug-and-play. A typical installation takes about 15 minutes, even if you've never installed one before. FIRESAFE consumes less than one square foot of desktop space.

Solid Performance
FIRESAFE subsystems utilize high performance Ultra-SCSI disk drives and I/O channels capable of supporting data transfers up to 40 Mb/sec between the array and the host, and up to 80Mb/sec on the backplane. The FIRESAFE controller includes a high performance 32bit RISC processor and a proprietary RAID Algorithms for efficient processing without imposing any overhead on your host system.

The Optional Spare feature can be enabled to rebuild the array automatically in the event of a disk failure, all without user intervention.
