Early Access of Java SE 8 for ARM Now Available

An Early Access of JDK 8 including JavaFX on Linux for ARM processors is now available for immediate download from Java.net. As Java Evangelist Stephen Chin says, "This is a great platform for doing small embedded projects, a low cost computing system for teaching, and great fun for hobbyists."

Java 8 installed and is running fine on my Raspberry PI. The PI is running Raspbian.
I had to relink my JNI shared libraries but so far all programmes are working.
I have run a couple of Floating Point performance tests and the results are no faster than tests run with the Soft FP. Does this version of Java (1.8.0-ea-b36e) support the Hard FP
